Places to avoid: location, noise and access
These are locations that may not suit your trip. This is not a ranking of dangerous neighbourhoods.
- Jumeirah, JBR and Palm Jumeirah: do not treat them as one location. Similar names do not mean the same beaches or transport are nearby.
- Palm Jumeirah: avoid a resort far from your daily outings without costing transfers and checking access.
- Al Barsha and Deira: do not accept “near the metro” without checking the walking route. Map distance alone does not show crossings and entrances.
